Yes, I wasn’t able to write anything in the last period, but I’ve been quite busy!

In october I had 2 concerts in Turin, with my solo audiovisual project and another one with Selen Gülün on keys and me on drums, both in Artintown.
Documentation is really poor; there’s only this photo of me and Selen after the concert:


November also started with a concert of Tabozzivil, with Fabrizio Bozzi Fenu.
We opened for Gala Drop, from Portugal at Velvet Club in Turin. It was a really, really nice evening!

That night, I’ve been invited to an mixed-exhibition which will take place on 3rd of December. Simona and Andrea, whom I knew by name asked me if I would like to participate this exhibition with my Body Chop series and I said, “Of course…” The prints look really nice, much better than expected. I still don’t know the details, but they’ll be online soon!


The day before yesterday, (16th of November) friends from Istanbul were in Turin. 123; Berke, Dilara, Feryin, Burak… We had some fun eating, drinking… They played in Artintown where me and Thelicious did DJ sets before and after the concert. It was fun and good to have them there…

Now, I’m back in Berlin until 23rd of November. I have to organize some things here, firstly, concerts for the upcoming months and secondly some other stuff regarding Brain Pussyfication. It’s getting big, really big!
Obviously as always, Berlin is about temporary rooms. Now I have the room below, thanks to Ludwig, the Krautmann Tipsypoodl. It’s his old studio which he’s emptying.You might remember the place from “Falafel Eating Apes Session”…


I’ll be back in Turin on 23rd. I have few concerts left to do: 24th with Tabozzivil+Tonulenul (yes norwegians -Bjørn and Sigurd- coming to Italy) at Artintown/Cantiere25, 26th with NOTR+The Philadelphia Experiment at Imbarchino and then 27th in Bologna at Ivan Illich, Public School of Music.

After these, I’ll go to Milan, to realize the “Society” project of Mattia Castelli. I’ll be doing the sounds. It should be fun! Piezzo mics and dancers and sounds! It lasts until 3rd of December. It’s at “CSA Baraonda”, more info can be found on upcoming section of this website.

On 3rd of December, as I said there’s the opening of the exhibition and after that one last concert with Tabozzivil in Turin, at Velvet Club, and after that I’ll be going back to Berlin until 7th of January. I’ll be going to Oslo for some concerts with different people and start the tour with NOTR+Britt Pernille Frøholm in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and Austria.

Next update won’t be after a long gap like this one. So keep following, and take care…

It’s the middle of autumn, but in fucking Italy it feels like middle of the summer! WAH!

Due to some bureaucracy issues, I am back to Turin for few months. Details are unnecessary to know but here are some headlights regarding the upcoming months and what has been happening in last few weeks…


Last weekend, on sunday, with NOTR, we had a recording session. I have to admit that for me it was a bit weird, due to my hearing habits -It has been a really long time that I actually played/recorded in an acoustically treated room-, but the results are really promising! It is not going to be released, but will be up online for streaming, of course. The recording, the mixing and the mastering are pretty rough and gritty. We paid more attention to play to be honest, but at least we have a bit more decent recordings than we had before, in our hands. We’re in a phase of electing what we have recorded, since there’s around 2 hours of decent material it might take some time, but not more than a week or so…


On monday, 19th of September, I saw 4 of my favorite musicians (yes, there are a lot of them) on the same stage playing together! Arve Henriksen, Helge Sten, Ståle Storløkken (Supersilent) and Stian Westerhus…! Even though I have to admit there were moments that I was missing a real drummer playing -Henriksen was playing the drums-, it was still an amazing concert. Since I know every single piece of music of these people out there, at least officially, it wasn’t anything new for my ears, but that wouldn’t stop me having multiple eargasms during more than one and an half an hour concert! The concert was also an amazing occasion for me to meet in person with so many other great musicians from the norwegian scene. As they’re amazing musicians they’re amazing people as well, I have to say…


As for future plans, with NOTR towards the end of November, we’ll do few concerts in Italy. Two gigs as full scale NOTR, few others as 2/3 with Bjørn…

Selen Gülün is in Italy as well. She has been playing around mostly with her singer/songwriter jazz trio, but apart from that (I think) she’s an amazing composer and improviser! We’ll be playing few gigs in Italy towards the end of October, at least one here in Turin and few others in other cities which we don’t know yet..

During my stay here, I will start preparing the first edition of “Brain Pussyfication Fanzine”. The contents are not fully ready, but it will definitely future some artists all around world. So far the confirmed ones are Rebecca Cairns and Burcu Ürgüt, more to come..! It should be ready until my return to Berlin, at the end of December. You are going to be able to get it, via internet, and print it yourselfs or if you want a really nice handmade version you can order it from me or get it at the next event of the Brain Pussyfication at the beginning of January!

I will be part of the project Atletica Smalti, as a musician, in Milan, between 26th of November ad 2nd of December. It’s a project consists of workshops and a series of performances. More details about this are going to be online soon.

Yes, so far the month of september is going well.
Brain Pussyfication No:00 went pretty good, with not so many but interested and interesting people.
The documentation of the night is decent. We have some recordings from the gigs and some photos. But most of the photos would arrive after I develop the film that I’ve used.

Recordings of Kakawaka and Horacio Pollard will be broadcasted in this weeks Brain Pussyfication radio show on sunday at 23:00, which will be boradcasted from Oslo, on Room 111 of Radio23. (http://radio23.org/111)

The gigs at Loophole the day after Brain Pussyfication No:00 went really well as well. Dario Fariello and Luca Marini kicked ass! They were amazing and to be honest I wasn’t feeling so comfortable playing drusm after Luca’s performance, because it was REALLY GOOD! For those who are in Berlin, he’ll be playing at Staalplaat, for the Quiet Cue event series on Friday, with Audrey Chen on cello, voice and electronics. He’ll be playing drums, cymbals and objects… Highly recommended!

Horacio Pollard[London/Berlin - Live Act]
Horacio Pollard is a noise musician currently living in Berlin. His shows are intense and spontaneous, often using just just a mic and a large guitar amp. Lots of noise artists seem content to just make your ears bleed. Mr Pollard only wants to badly bruise them, while pureeing your brain and making it run like molten magma down into your shoes. The wall of sound acts as the flesh of the beast while beats skeletonize everything to make the beast complete. The fractured overdriven rhythms combined with the lava in your shoes will make you dance in an awkward, yet totally brutal way. Industrialized dance music for eardrum enlightenment! He has toured extensively around Europe. Asia, South America and Australia with such as people like MoHa!, Alan Courtis, DJ Scotch Egg, Danny o’Really, Marousa, Ove Naxx to name a few. He has released a handful of stuff on various labels including his own label neigh%music, all his releases are very different, but there seems to be a very strong tie to psychedelic noise and doom/ metal/industrial swished around with a large spoonful of lo-fi sampling and electronics. http://horaciopollard.blogspot.com/

Four of my very influential musicians are gonna be on the same stage, playing together; can’t even wait to see that! Just before that we would have a recording session with NOTR, on the 18th.

I am really excited about this…
I will be performing at Støy På Landet Festival next weekend. On Saturday, 23rd of July, I’ll be doing an audiovisual set and on 24th me and Bjørn Strand (fellow accomplice from NOTR) will perform as a duo.

…but that’s not all; whole festival will be broadcasted live on Radio 23‘s Room 111!
